Boil the ingredients. The instructions don't say anything most cooking the sauce, just information technology is much, much improve after its been cooked. As is, it was very gel-like, only cooked, you get a very flavorful sauce.

Keen BBQ sauce!!! I cut the recipe in one-half for smoked baby dorsum ribs. There'southward actually no need to put this in a blender, merely a basin. I highly recommend putting this on the stove in a bucket and letting it come to a boil for about i minute. Then have it off the stove and permit it cool. This will allow it thicken and allow the flavors to come through. If yous like a sweeter sauce go on this recipe the same, if not cutting dorsum on the sugar. If you're like me and like a smoky BBQ sauce add i/2 tsp. of liquid smoke for half the recipe or 1 tsp. for the whole recipe.

Ran out of Sweetness Babe Ray'south and needed something to make BBQ Country Style Ribs submitted past Glenda U. Information technology would be foolish to e'er buy the shop bought kind again. You lot merely can't compare them. This was groovy! Husband loved it, kids liked it....my 10 yr old even put some on the side for dipping. I did exactly what the recipe stated. Likewise, I don't actually think it had a "kicking" it was sweet and tangy. This is my BBQ sauce for now on. Cheers for sharing.

wow this is an extradonary sauce. its great the manner it is only if you add my modifications, you lot will have the greatest bbq suace you have ever had. instead of ane tbl worcestershire sauce use 1/two loving cup. add ii cloves of garlic (minced). delete pepper sauce and utilize ane teaspoon of ground cayanne pepper.if this isnt the greatest sauce y'all have ever had let me know.
05/08/2006
WOW - this is ane killer recipe! I recall it'south unfair for cooks to make half a dozen changes so rate and then I prepared exactly as written and yum yum yum! Some of the best spareribs I've ever prepared. Notation - I did you apply Chipolte Tabasco for the hot sauce because it was all I had on hand.
02/19/2006
I needed a quick bbq sauce fix to marinate, then cook 1.v lbs of boneless pork ribs in the oven for tomorrow. I chose this ane because I had all the ingredients and it sounded good. I scaled it to yield viii - just the right amount for this meal. I wish I had made more. I followed each measurement exactly and love the result, especially for this. A perfect taste/texture for an overnight marinade and cooking. Thanks. It's a keeper for sure.

This is the BEST BBQ sauce ever! Establish this recipe one day when out of bottled sauce, and it was fantastic! I will never buy bottled BBQ sauce over again, my family won't let me! I find using a mitt mixer is better than the blender, not quite every bit messy. We now double the recipe when making every bit it goes and then fast in our habitation. Great on beef, chicken, pork, yous proper name it. We as well warm it with a piddling beer to requite it a different flavor. My picky ten year old loves it too! Endeavor it, you won't regret it!

Great sauce! I take made this several times now and I feel I have it perfected at least in my mind. I used only 1 cup brown saccharide, 1 i/2 cups ketchup, 1/4 cup balsamic and i/iv cup red wine vinegars, 1/ii cup beer, 2 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, two teaspoons sweet Hungarian paprika, one teaspoon each of Emerils Bayou Blast, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and kosher table salt. Afterwards blending well I simmer it for almost an hour. This is so good on so many different things! If also spicy it tin can easily be adjusted only the best thing about it is, it is so much cheaper to brand this sauce than it is to buy any of them from the store. Attempt information technology! You won't be dissapointed. FYI Instead of pizza sauce use this on a pineapple and ham pizza. It'll brand your eyes roll back in your head!
05/25/2005
So at first I didn't really love it, just it was ok. I let it sit over night and the next twenty-four hour period I tasted it and information technology seemed a lilliputian better. Well it definitely has grown on me, I beloved it. My husband loves information technology as well, and he is very picky about this sort of thing. I will say that it has a little more of a boot to information technology and so I prefer so adjacent time I will use a little less of the dry mustard. No more ketchup for me anymore, I put this stuff on EVERYTHING!!
07/26/2003
I was making bbq ribs and ran out of bbq sauce so I needed a quick and piece of cake recipe. I tried this one and loved it. I ordinarily bought prepared sauces but I don't think I ever will once again. Fifty-fifty my husband asked me to make it once more. The only thing I changed was that I used balsamic vinegar considering I didn't have red vino vinegar on hand.
04/08/2006
I'd cut dorsum to most 1 loving cup of sugar, merely this was wonderful and and then piece of cake. I really liked that it didn't take to melt in accelerate. Cheers for sharing -- this is a KEEPER.
10/17/2006
Like the previous reviewer, I detest when people modify a recipe and so review information technology. Simply in this example, I was justified. ;) I was looking for a sauce recipe that was more than on the sweetness side and with less fire. I had almost of the ingredients for this so I tried it. I halved the recipe. I didn't have dry mustard or rice wine vinegar, then I used a generous squirt of prepared yellow mustard and regular white vinegar. Also, I left out the hot sauce. I really liked information technology. I'll see what my husband thinks when he gets home - this could very well be a keeper!
01/27/2011
Wow!! Way too much red wine vinegar....makes me want to go the other way and finde a recipe without any vinegar at all. If y'all love vinegar, this ones for you. I didn't intendance for it at all,
09/18/2003
I establish this recipe to be very fun because we took this and ran with it. I used all the ingrediants as a base and played effectually with it and produced a darn expert BBQ sauce: First, I took 3 TBLS butter, one tsp minced garlic and i med onion (minced) and sauted them. So I used the following amts: 2 TBLS REG vinegar, 6 TBLS brn sugar, 2 TBLS OJ, 2c ketchup, 1/2c h2o, 2 tsp salt, 4 TBLS worchtshire sauce and (get this) i tsp of cinnamon. I and then simmered ALL this in a pot over med heat for apprx 45 minutes...VERY Expert. Semi spicy, semi sweet. The flavors blended well and worked great with our grilled chicken, a pork marinade, and overnice dipping sauce for steak. Thanks JR for lighting a fire of creativity within me...and providing me the basics of a great BBQ sauce!
09/09/2011
This is the best bbq sauce ever! I took the advice of others and brought the ingredients to a slow boil for 5 minutes AFTER I put them in the blender. This manner the vinegar was well mixed and blended with other flavors. I will never buy bbq sauce over again!
04/05/2003
This was the easiest BBQ sauce to make, and the All-time BBQ sauce I have ever tasted!!! I can't wait to share it with family and friends. I plan to make information technology where ever I go whenever I can, I mean information technology!!! Most Excellent!
07/03/2006
Most too skilful to be truthful.Easy to brand and wonderfully counterbalanced gustation. Not as well sweet, not too spicy, no overwhelming private flavors. I used Heinz Ketchup and sauce was a picayune too thick for me (before now I didn't call up that was possible) so I added 1/2 cup of Coke and it was perfect. Not serenity every bit sweet every bit Sweet Baby Ray's which is fine for me though wife wants me to brand it a little sweeter side by side fourth dimension.
07/04/2006
I made this for the vacation BBQ, pork ribs. Big hit! At starting time I thought information technology was a bit also tangy from the vinegar, and so I added most 1/iv cup of molasses. Also left out the tabasco due to spice sensitive friends, we divided it and added some cayenne to half. I also simmered it on the stove for a bit. It IS a scrap sweet - adding molasses was a questionable tinker - but if you like the love blazon sauces you'll probably similar this. Definitely will be making over again!!! Update: My friends are making a double recipe this weekend - they definitely like it! Update #three: I forgot, we ran out of ketchup and used 1 loving cup of tomato sauce...so i/ii c. ketchup and 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce....
04/21/2011
Good BBQ sauce; will apply less dark-brown sugar adjacent fourth dimension as it seemed a little likewise sugariness; substituted apple cider vinegar for the crimson wine vinegar only because I but had the apple cider vinegar.
01/19/2013
Ok people, I must confess, I am a bit of a bbq sauce snob. I have several favorite recipes, all take a ton of ingredients and time to simmer. This night, I found myself in a pinch. I was making grilled pork chops, quickie dinner for the kids, and planned on using my usual Sweet Baby Rays brown sugar bottled sauce. Gah, I was out! So I hit up Google to find a quick, sweeter sauce, which is my preference. I hit on this jewel. I didn't have high hopes, despite the reviews, because I have religion in the sauces and methods I take used in the by. The only exchange I made was apple tree cider vingar instead of red wine; partially because I was out of the cherry-red, also considering I prefer the apple tree cider vinegar in a sauce to exist used with pork. I added a bit of granulated garlic, for personal preference. And I also went a bit light on the ground mustard, as the container was well-nigh empty and I didn't even realize information technology! Like others, I let it simmer for a bit. It tasted quite decent raw, but the flavors really demand some heat to gel. One time it finished, it was amazing! I prefer a sugariness sauce, so this was right up my alley. Those that don't, just decrease the brown carbohydrate. I used Sriracha for the hot sauce, and a few actress squirts of it. Information technology gives a fantastic background rut, mild but at that place, that sneaks upwards on you. Endeavor this 1 ! Tweek to your tastes if needed, merely is fantastic as is! Cheers for posting!
02/12/2011
Very good! Thank You..
xi/15/2006
Wow! This makes a fantastic, rich and sweet sauce. Information technology is by far the best sauce I have ever tried...I prepared information technology exactly as the recipe required. In the future I may cut back on the brown sugar just a tad, just overall it is a fabulous recipe!
05/30/2010
Too sweet and spicy for my taste. I used the proportions as a guideline and adjusted also much to give an honest review of this recipe. My version is saved as "Mom's BBQ Sauce, Recreated past ellen".
01/15/2007
This is a good BBQ sauce. I thought there was a little too much black peppper for the taste of my family unit. My hubby and I enjoyed it but my kids didn't care besides much for information technology. I decreased the saccharide a bit, that could have been why. I also simmered it on the stove for about 10 minutes for the flavors to blend together and then basted on skinned chicken leg quarters.
03/24/2011
Wow! I was doing a recipe that chosen for a cup of BBQ sauce and I but had i/2 C available of a 'bottled' brand, so...I dashed over here and found this. Am I glad I did! I whipped upwards a one/ii loving cup and gustation-tested them both. This far outdid the bought i...I couldn't terminate licking my fingers. Cheers so much.
05/21/2015
Yous tin ditch a lot of salt and make the sauce thicker by using unsalted lycopersicon esculentum paste with onion and garlic powder to replace the ketchup. Simmering it will thicken it up as well. Just every bit practiced and way less salty.
03/28/2010
I was looking for something quick with bones ingredients. I really didn't expect much considering of the effort this recipe requires. I was pleased to have been so satisfied with this BBQ sauce. Information technology has something for everyone, spice, sweetness, ease, Some might prefer a smokey flavour and so get ahead and add 1 tsp. of Liquid Smoke.
06/27/2011
Groovy recipe! My husband and I both really liked information technology.
04/sixteen/2011
This is the all-time recipe I accept had exterior of a restaurant. I have tried many other recipes and they only don't compare. This is sweet and savory with not too much heat. Definitely a keeper. :)
01/twenty/2011
needs garlic and onion pulverization. I also added a packet of Starbucks Via Instant Coffee. It really kicks information technology up a notch.
04/05/2011
Awesome and piece of cake. Information technology was a huge hit!
03/xxx/2011
Very good sauce but a piddling besides sweet for me. I cut the saccharide in half and added more vinegar and hot sauce for a spicier version of this sauce.
xi/12/2011
tried information technology for the first time and used it on some ribs, this is the best i accept tasted in a long time. easy to make and was actually good.
02/11/2006
Used at sus scrofa roast, everyone loves it. A big hit!!!
09/07/2006
Made this sauce for our family unit and now have fabricated information technology twice for hostess gifts. Something a little different than wine or flowers! I fabricated the recipe as is, using Chipotle Tabasco and Penzey'southward Smoked Castilian Paprika. Gave it that smoky kicking nosotros love! I just keep saving the ketchup bottles and making cute labels to requite them away. (anyone who hasn't tried Penzey's spices, practice so! They're online and their option and quality can't be vanquish! The Viet Namese Cinnamon is to Dice FOR!!)
08/01/2007
My Mom's been making this aforementioned recipe since I was little and she passed information technology on to me. I think it came in her "Osterizer" cookbook. The only deviation is it calls for soy sauce instead of Worcestershire. You definitely don't need the full measure of sugar, it is practiced with as little as a couple of tablespoons. GREAT on grilled chicken!
07/29/2010
I wasn't a fan sorry :(
05/06/2003
This is the best BBQ Sauce. I haven't found any better. Thanks for the great recipe!:o)
02/21/2015
Tasty BBQ sauce recipe as written--v Stars from the melt in the house. That being said, I accept an entire family of finicking eaters, so I needed to make a few adjustments to suit their pallet. I decreased, by half, the red vino vinegar; decreased the sugar by 1/4 loving cup; and increased the Worcestershire to 2 T; Oh, and I didn't mention to my family that I used mustard! What they don't know won't injure them:) Thanks for the succulent recipe--I won't always need to purchase store-bought BBQ sauce again.
06/20/2010
Very great BBQ sauce for whatever state of affairs. Employ a picayune more ketchup if you want it to come out thicker.
07/18/2012
Excellent, I always utilise regular yellowish mustard instead of dry and bring all ingredients to a boil and and then simmer for about x to 15 minutes.
12/07/2005
Nice and sweet with a kick. We used it to make Barbeque Chicken Pizzas and information technology was perfect. I didn't have any scarlet wine vinegar so I had to substitute white instead, but it was yet quite good.
01/27/2010
I normally don't like BBQ sauce but I like this recipe. It goes a flake heavy on the ketchup, though.
11/14/2010
pretty good
03/29/2015
Groovy basic recipe, I added 1/4 tsp liquid smoke for a smoky flavor, a tbsp of Jack Daniels, and cut back on the sugar.
08/28/2011
i didnt use as much brown carbohydrate since i was depression and i added about two tsp of honey to make upwardly for the sweetness. i also used prepared mustard and used a footling less. i used rooster sauce for the hot pepper sauce. it must have been good there was none left after dinner tonight!
12/24/2011
Very good. Used this sauce on Chef John's "Winter Ribs" web log post. #Foodwishes
08/xx/2005
Pretty good. Information technology had a sweet taste to information technology which was really skillful. I would brand it again.
05/22/2015
I made this last dark and I disagree. Sauce is much better cooked. Thickens correct upward. I am visiting my daughter ( new grandbaby) needed bbq sauce quick. This was perfect. I ran out of ketchup used chilli sauce no red wine vinegar used apple cider vinegar. Was very good base to work off.
11/09/2004
This was very sugariness and then next time I will showtime with less sugar. Loved the thought of putting it in the ketchup bottle, worked out not bad. The consistancy was swell. This would have been great as-is for ribs but I was serving with chicken then I added one-1/ii tsp of liquid hickory flavoring and virtually 1/2 of loving cup of pre-fabricated hot bbq sauce to flavour it upwards. Everyone liked information technology and simply as practiced as store-bought.
01/27/2003
Information technology was very good, notwithstanding I used an aged red wine vinegar and information technology was a piffling overpowering.I added a quarter cup bottled (bulls eye) to cut the vinegar and information technology worked out great. I used it on infant backs and information technology was fine.
05/17/2011
easy and really proficient
06/07/2011
Wow! I will never purchase BBQ sauce once again. I added a Tablespoon of Molasses and brought to a slow boil. Continued to boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Thick, rich and delicious. Perfection!
06/ten/2010
This is a slap-up recipe by itself simply I also beloved trying new things so I changed it a fiddling bit. I used balsalmic vinegar instead of red vino vinegar, I left out the dry out mustard and the black pepper, just I added some garlic pulverization and white pepper. Instead of the water I used freshly brewed coffee. I simmered it on the stove for a few minutes and tried information technology and information technology was yummy then but after letting it sit down in the fridge overnight it was even ameliorate. Mine came out sweet with a piddling kick, love it!
01/25/2007
DEELISH! my simply error was making the whole thing then putting it on my pork with a castor and contaminating the sauce from the raw meat instead of only using what I needed...had to throw away the whole batch after using it for the ribs but it'due south like shooting fish in a barrel to brand and next time I know to salvage some before basting!
05/17/2012
Very Proficient :) scaled to iv for two of usa and 2 pound pork roast next time I would probally scale to 6.
08/28/2011
I needed BBQ sauce in a pinch and this whipped out really quick! It has a good flavour with a little fleck of spice. It makes a lot of sauce - so I take a lot of barbecuing to practice!
02/04/2013
I ran out of BBQ sauce and needed something fast using the ingredients I already have. I only used half the recipe and I didn't have red wine vinegar or sugariness chili sauce so had to use apple tree cider vinegar and a piffling cayenne pepper. I cooked it and put it in a squeeze bottle later it cooled (my son loves spicy bbq sauce on his hot dogs). Although I love sweetness and spicy sauces, I didn't "love" this one equally it was a flake as well sugariness for me. I added more Worcestershire sauce, a footling garlic and onion powder to cut the sugariness. It came out perfect. This volition definitely exist my permanent become-to BBQ recipe. Thanks!
01/24/2004
very popular with me as well!
09/07/2011
This is really practiced! I did make some changes to suit our tastes but it was good before changes. I had to exit out the paprika since I was out, added 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tbs. molasses, i tsp. liquid smoke and I did simmer it on the stove for a while. Information technology never got thick enough so I too added a small-scale amount of corn starch slurry. I won't be buying sauce again!
10/24/2010
My married man picked out this recipe because information technology had smashing reviews, he made it to a tee, didn't change anything. It is way to sweet with ketchup and brown carbohydrate, all you can taste is ketchup. We cooked it a bit and then tried adding stuff and finally didn't utilize information technology because it wasn't worth ruining the ribs we were nearly to bbq.
03/10/2007
This sauce is awesome! I put it on some Pork shoulder, that went on the grill and wow! I thing though I left out the salt because I think the ketchup already has enough as it is.
03/04/2015
Pretty expert for a bootleg sauce, with all ingredients you'd probably have at home. I only made 1/4 of the recipe to endeavor with a sweet and spicy recipe I was going to make. Instead of the blender, I merely combined all ingredients in a minor saucepan, brought it to a boil and let it cook for 1 minute. My taste preference would be to cutting dorsum on the red wine vinegar, probably past half. Next time I'll also cut back on the sugar. I used smoky paprika and added a footling more. Thanks for the easy and good recipe!
02/24/2009
Sweetness & Tangy!!! This is very like shooting fish in a barrel and pretty skillful if yous similar sweetness sauces. I did use Cider vinegar instead of white and much more hot sauce. And I simmered it for about 10 minutes before refridgerating. Just overall, I'd make information technology once more.
07/24/2010
Easy, tasty & a hit as the BBQ sauce cooked on a pork loin.
01/25/2011
Absolutely fabulous BBQ Sauce. It makes a lot of wonderful sauce, but it lasts a long fourth dimension! I did brand it a fleck hotter, only spicy and hot is our preference. Cheers for the recipe.
03/01/2007
Very yummy. My only complaint is that we tasted the sauce all night (rather acidic and spicy). It didn't go along us from eating leftovers the side by side day, still, or my husband from calculation habanero hot sauce to every bite. ;)
01/07/2009
This is the showtime BBQ sauce I have ever fabricated and it'south fabulous. Needed something quick and like shooting fish in a barrel to go with my ho-hum cooked craven and this compliments it beautifully. Tastes and so much ameliorate than shop bought that I will utilize this from now on when I demand a uncomplicated sauce. Can't await to endeavor this every bit a marinade in the tedious cooker. Thank you for posting.
08/21/2011
Very good and piece of cake
09/thirteen/2003
Saturday afternoon: going to brand my husband a bbq pork sandwich with leftover porkchops. Didn't have bbq sauce, which oddly, is vital for a bbq pork sandwich (HA!). This is the showtime recipe I came to and a keeper!!! Information technology's succulent and the entire recipe contains ingredients nearly of us already take in the house!!! Delicous!!!
10/21/2010
A very quick like shooting fish in a barrel and tasty BBQ sauce. I put it in the slow cooker with some pork roasts and made sandwiches. Yum! a couple of slap-up family meals! The only matter I did differently was utilize smoked paprika to add some smoky flavor and add only 1/2 cup of sugar as I think information technology is sugariness enough. Great recipe :0)
08/29/2008
Dandy sauce and easy to make. I simply used 1 cup brown sugar and had to utilize spicy mustard as i had no dry mustard. Also added a splash of beer. Blended and so brought to a boil. Used some on some chicken wings that I rubbed with the "Spicy chicken Breasts" rub. The sauce is sugariness at get-go then leaves your lips hot and spicy. The mixture of the rub and sauce was amazing and I claiming anyone to say otherwise. My wife, mom, and myself gobbled up about 2 1/2 lbs worth of wings in no time. Thanks for both recipes.
01/18/2012
i don't fifty-fifty buy anymore
07/12/2011
I liked the sauce but my hubby didn't care for it. I won't be making it again.
04/22/2008
I scaled the recipe downward to ten servings. This is a smoothen, silky sparse sauce. I did boil on the stove for a curt time to try and thicken upwardly. I used some of information technology in the Quick Spicy Chili recipe from this site. Likewise would be skillful on bbq chicken.
eleven/27/2007
I was almost done with dinner and discovered I didn't take the BBQ sauce in the pantry I idea I had. With four petty ones, I figured it was easier to make some than to try to caput to the store. I tried this one, and was not disappointed. It was easy enough the kids could help. Everyone loved it! As it turned out, I as well didn't have whatever reddish wine vinegar, so I used cider vinegar (which I believe went even better with the shredded pork loin.) I like the smokey taste of many sauces, so I did add a full tablespoon of liquid smoke to the total recipe. The next fourth dimension I may add more than. Every bit someone who always uses store bought, I really enjoyed this, and I'thousand debating ever buying set up fabricated when this is too easy to whip up!
08/28/2011
This was pretty good. It wasn't what I was expecting but once I put information technology on the chicken I was cooking it was succulent! My search for the best bootleg bbq sauce isn't over withal though. Thanks for the recipe.
xi/01/2010
super fast and tasty recipe...volition definitely exist using this one over again. I repurposed left over pork loin roast smothered it with this BBQ sauce recipe and presto...BBQ'd pulled pork on the wing ;o)
07/02/2013
This is the one for me. I made one-half the amounts to try it out. Put everything in small pot and cooked on stove for one infinitesimal.Thank you JRNEUMILLER
06/30/2005
This bbq sauce is peachy. Has a nice kick to it. It is a nice alter from regular bbq sauce which I find to have a mode to overpowering smell. This recipe is a must effort!
07/25/2004
We LOVE this sauce-fifty-fifty my ten yr one-time who NEVER eats anything with whatsoever kind of sauce on it loves information technology.
09/26/2009
I came across this recipe about a yr and a half ago. Give thanks you and so much. I am allergic to nearly BBQ sauces, but fabricated this one and no problem. My whole family loves it. My married man thinks information technology is improve than Sweet Baby Ray's. I can't continue enough of it made up.
08/23/2010
Never knew making your ain BBQ was this easy and this delicious ! We liken it to our favorite BBQ from our favorite BBQ articulation ! Thank you.
04/nineteen/2012
Very skilful BBQ sauce, simply quite sweet for my liking. Consider reducing brown sugar to ii/3 the amount.
06/28/2006
Non what I really like in a sauce. I was looking for more than of what I term "traditional" - more like a BBQ white potato fleck. This was a lilliputian sugariness for us.
10/26/2006
This sauce was totally crawly added to my pulled pork. My married man only raved about it when usually he likes to stick to bottled BBQ sauce. Very easy to make, I added some onion and garlic powder and a footling extra hot sauce. YUMMY!!!
05/12/2007
Living in West Africa you tin can not get BBQ Sauce at the local grocery store. I wanted to brand BBQ chicken and this recipe worked out slap-up.
11/09/2009
This was great I did cook information technology on the stove acme and I added some garlic pulverization and onion powder and a piddling cumin to mine and nosotros loved it...
06/11/2006
I love this bbq sauce. It is the merely one my hubby will use now.
07/06/2009
This is pretty darn tasty. I used 3/4 cup of splenda instead the dark-brown sugar and used reduced sugar ketchup for a low-carb version(lower than most recipes). Information technology was sooo expert. It'southward exactly the kind of bbq sauce I like, sugariness and zesty. I besides added a lilliputian liquid smoke and omitted the h2o, just because I like my sauce a little thicker.
03/27/2013
I merely add hickory smoke flavoring.
05/22/2015
But added dash of liquid smok. Really skilful.
06/26/2006
A very tasteful recipe. Wow..!
03/19/2015
This recipe was so piece of cake, and so good! I did make a few alterations. First off, I did a cup of brown sugar, half a cup dear. I used apple cider vinegar, and instead of water I used beer. I didn't have worchesterchire sauce, so I used soy sauce. Scaled the dry mustard back to 2 tablespoons, and I blended 2 cloves of garlic and half an onion for flavour. I also simmered on depression for an hr only to let the flavors really meld together. I really enjoyed the issue it had. I will use this in the time to come for sure!
08/04/2012
I only give 5 stars to the "best of the best". This one deserved it. It was perfect, as proclaimed by my family unit and me. I cutting the recipe in one-half and used it on boiled chicken I finished on the grill. I can't remember why merely I left out the hot sauce. It was "ameliorate than Sweet Baby Rays". When it comes to charcoal-broil sauce, that ways a lot.
02/04/2008
Information technology tasted similar ketchup, sugar, and vinegar. No BBQ sense of taste to it.
01/08/2011
This was pretty adept but much also heavy on the black pepper. endeavor adding half first then more to gustation. It was also lacking something, needed a more total bodyed flavor so I added a tblsp of tomatoe paste. That fabricated information technology perfect!
01/07/2018
Excellent! I cutting the recipe down just to see if I would like it, and I sure did! I made the whole 32 serving batch the next day, and used the suggestion that it would fit a 32 oz container, just similar the ketchup canteen I had finished off. I did not use a blender or processor, but cooked all the ingredients carefully in the microwave. That melted the brown sugar, and smoothed it all out very nicely. I will accept to keep a container of this in the refrigerator at all times! 4/20/18 - P.S. - I totally omitted the table salt; ketchup and Worcestershire sauce accept plenty on their ain. I likewise added a tsp of sriracha sauce for a little kicking the 3rd fourth dimension I made it. And I simmered information technology on the stove, rather than rut it in the microwave. This was excellent!! I have to say I'm not a very large fan of BBQ sauce this is why I didn't have any in the fridge so I had to make information technology. I didn't accept Worcestershire so I used Liquid Smoke instead. Loved it - I can't expect to brand it again.
